I think they'll be the surprise team of the B10 next season. They'll put the fear of god in a lot of teams that used to walk over them. I truly expect Minny to become a top tier B10 team in the next two seasons.
My order of finish 1. tOSU 2. Penn St. 3. Minny/Illi/TSUN (somebody from that group will fight to secure that spot)

I don't think they will surprise anyone. Weber and Decker formed one of the most lethal offensive combos in the league last season and I expect that to continue into this upcoming season. There defense still isn't very good though.

They probably have a chance to move up based more on uncertainty than anything, but they'll need to show me something before I consider it. They finished 7-6, but dropped their final five games, and their best win was arguably against a 5-7 Illinois. Now, granted, that's much improved over the 1-11 2007 season. However I don't think it gives me any confidence that they're going to ascend to the top as soon as next season. Their non-con opponents are upgraded slightly with games against Air Force and Cal, and I don't see them winning @OSU, @PSU, @Iowa, and probably not against Wisconsin or MSU.
As a side note, I will say this--if there's another team getting set up for a disappointing season more than Iowa I'd like to see it. Seems like media pundits are seriously talking them up this year, yet they play @PSU, @OSU, @MSU, @Wisconsin, and have trap games @ISU and Michigan.

I think the B10 is still relatively weak. Thats why I gave them a chance to go for 3rd or 4th place because behind tOSU and Penn St. their is a lot of teams that could get hot or just shoot blanks.

I do not think that Minnesota will become an elite Big Ten team. I do think they will beat Michigan this year.
