I was running around the internet recently and came across something that I had completely forgotten about.
Back when I was a kid I had a Sports Illustrated subscription. I knew a number of guys that had one. We used to cut out the pictures and paste them on our walls. That all changed one day when I was forced to go shopping with my Mother.
I did not actually shop with her. I moped and complained mostly. I did not want to be there. Like most males I lack the shopping gene. Walk in the store, buy what I want and leave. One shopping trip my Mother had enough of me. She gave me leave to go do what I wanted to do but I had to be back in an hour. That was when I realized that I was only forced to come because I was needed to carry stuff, but I digress. I walked around and found a shop that had a large magazine selection. That was my last year with a Sports Illustrated.
What I discovered was the Sporting News. More sports news. Less feature stories. That was right up my alley. I remember when the Sporting News used to carry the box scores of every baseball game that week. That is what I call hard sports news.
The Sporting News is how I was introduced to recruiting. I saw my first national top 100 list in the Sporting News. I just stumbled across their top 100 for this year on the internet. I had never thought about looking for that venerable publications recruiting news on line before.
Go over and take a look. The Buckeye state is well represented:

Come back and discuss. It certainly is not the same top 100 that we are seeing from others.
