My intention is to get over here at least every other day. I had no idea that so much would be going on. It seemed like every time I was about to do a blog post that something else would pop up and I would want to see where that was going before I posted. As soon as I was ready to post about that something else would come across my radar. What a week.

The coaching changes have had an impact on the Buckeyes. I don't know if any program was more impacted by the Notre Dame, USC and Florida madness than the Buckeyes. I regret not having more scholarships. Fans are asking, are the Buckeyes going after these recruits? I think they would love to. Don't have the scholarships. I bet there are ten kids, ten elite kids, that the Buckeyes had contact with that we might have another shot at but there are no scholarships available. Right at the top of the list is Kyle Prater, one of the top three receivers in the country. There seemed to be some interest from him after Carroll left USC. It ended so suddenly that I have to think the staff told him right up front, we don't have room. No reason to cry over spilled milk. So much good news from this week.

The disarray at every other school on his list has solidified the Buckeyes on Seantrell Hendersons list, a place that he stated the Buckeyes already held before the turmoil at Florida and the coaching changes at USC and Notre Dame. He is visiting Miami. Nothing going on there but I don't think anyone sees them as a contender. Adding a left tackle to this offense is going to make me very excited and you should be too. He is one of those rare talents that can come in and play right away on the offensive line. I don't know anyone who does not think we are now the team to beat. The only player in the Tressel era who will have as big an impact is Terrelle Pryor. Huge get for the Buckeyes if Henderson comes this way. Mike Adams has all the tools but the light has not come on. Jim Cordle could not be more out of position than at left tackle. After 15 bowl practices all Adams could earn was one series on the field. He is still young and the talent is there but I have not seen him get any better yet. We really do not have a left tackle for next year. The position is wide open. It would be nice to be able to add a talent like Henderson to that mix.

Maybe the biggest news is on Jordan Hicks. It looks like we are back in the thick of it. There is news out there that has some legs that Hicks could be a Buckeye. Most interesting is news that Florida seems to now be out of it. It is Ohio State and Texas. I don't think anyone has enough to call it for the Buckeyes but nobody seems to be ready to call it for Texas either. I don't know how much to put into this, but there is some buzz that he could commit next week.

The Buckeyes did get a verbal this week. Bradley Roby was committed to Vanderbilt but the Buckeyes stayed after him. He changed his verbal on Wednesday to the Buckeyes. He saw a swirl of activiting late with Auburn and several other SEC schools coming in on him. The Buckeye staff got a look at him at camp as a corner and liked what they saw. He is a very impressive young man in interviews. He comes across as the intelligent high character hard workers that have become a staple of Jim Tressel classes.

For me the most exciting news is an offer to Dominique Brown. After a great senior year, Brown has emerged as the hottest commodity in Ohio. He is now in the Rivals national top 250. He now has the score to merit an offer. I predict him to be the next Buckeye commit. He wants to play quarterback but the Buckeye staff rightly put the offer on the table as a receiver. No reason to mess around with him at quarterback. He might think about it for a minute as he really wants to play quarterback, and there is an offer from option offense Georgia Tech. I hope Brown realizes his future is at receiver and that the Buckeye offer as a receiver would not be a big deal to him if he did not want to be a Buckeye.

On a college football note, I have to mention the mess with the coaches.

USC is sure to be hit with sanctions off the Reggie Bush mess. Carroll decides he has had enough of the BCS aggravation. Are you kidding me? That system has done nothing but play right into his hands. He bailed. Plain and simple, he bailed.

The ugliest coaching change is at Tennessee. Lane Kiffin goes to Tennessee and breaks NCAA rules every day. Goes as far as to say he is proud to break rules, then bolts for USC after one year. I put him right up there with Bobby Petrino. In fact, I would say this is the worst behavior I have seen with a college coach. I do not understand why USC would put their program in the hands of a guy this ambitious, and utterly ruthless. Think he would get to recruit my kid? The odds that would happen would right about the same as me not returning a call from Halle. Now Tennessee is so desperate they are in contact with Phil Fulmer.

I am baffled by the Florida recruiting class. It is looking like one of the all-time great classes. Certainly one of the ten best in my time of doing this. Why would anyone go to Florida? Technically Meyer is not the coach. He "may" come back next football season. Here is what I don't get. What is going to happen between now and then that is going to change his health situation? He is going to stop being a workaholic? His workaholic ways are going to stop giving him chest pains?
