Absolutely nothing is going to happen. JT is going to button it up and be as vanilla as possible. Show no strengths. Give USC nothing to look at this year. We are a young team. Looking back to last year is not going to show much. Last year will show what we like to do but it is not going to show how players have developed. It is not going to show much at all about some key players. Pete Carroll can get a read on Sanzenbacher but how much is last year going to show him about what Devier Posey and Taurian Washington are capable of? This is something JT has done his entire career and I support it completely. I want to see a high percentage of USC players trying to stay awake in the film room.

Being vanilla does not mean we don't accomplish some things. I don't expect a big point win. That is not JT's style and I could not agree with him more. Why run up the score when you get a good lead when you can get some younger players in the game? Why run up the score when you can get some hard working veterans who don't get to play much an opportunity for playing time? You may need those players later in the year. Those young guys getting seasoning now means never having an inexperienced team. Beyond bad sportsmanship, running up the score is just dumb. It is a wasted opportunity to make your team better.

If I see these things I will see it as a good win:

- Offensive line dominates the line of scrimmage.

- We execute across the board consistently. That is something I find lacking. At times we don't execute well.

- Our "specialists" show they are special. We are replacing our kicker and our punter.

- We are more stout in the middle of the defense than last year. This is one area that playing Navy will help us.

- The linebackers show they are ready to be the next in line at the real Linebacker U.

- Get a lot of players in the game.

- Get out of here with a win and no more injuries. The will not play list is already worrisome.
