Every year every team in the country has their board go to hell in a handbasket in January because they see these words, "I fell in love with...." somewhere on the internet. Having some players to fall back on late in the process can be crucial to the recruiting effort. Here are som names to keep in mind. Yesterday I mentioned Micah Robinson. Here is a list of Ohio players I think could find their phones ringing off the hook come January.

Don't ask me about Bobby Swigert. He is not going to be an option in January. I see Chris Dunkley as better than Swigert but not by much. I would offer Swigert over Bradley Roby, a player there seems to be alot of chatter about with the Buckeyes. Swigert is an Anthony Gonzalez clone.

Teven Eatmon - Wynford - DT/OT. I have talked about this kid before. There is no more athletic big kid in the state than Eatmon. Grades will need to get right before anything happens but the Buckeyes are aware of him. Talk about a great potential fallback recruit should the Buckeyes not get any of the big fish linemen that have been targeted. He has a decent offer list but it is not going to matter until he shows better grades. That gives the Buckeyes time to work on these national kids. He could play DT or OT.

Harrison Scott - New Albany - DT/DE. I don't know where this kids body is going to take him but he is strong at the point of attack and he can run.
Plays inside and outside. I think he grows into a tackle but it doesn't matter. Indiana stole one if he gets through to signing day without a bigger offer.

Logan Hauserman - Logan Elm - OL. This is a name that is new to you. Huge and in great shape. Love that he plays hard all the time. I don't think he has the feet and hips to play left tackle but he might be a right tackle and I think he could definitely have a shot at being a good guard. He can put 40-50 lbs on that frame.

Cody Byers - Kettering Alter. Hybrid. Looks like a kid born to play the Star. Long and lean with good speed. He is as good in coverage as he is at the line of scrimmage. Could grow into an out and out linebacker.

Tim O'Conner - Elder - We have seen so many 6-4 kids with 4.4s that we have lost track of what a big split end is. Calvin Johnson's come along once in awhile. This kid does what a big receiver should do. He is going to get one on one and make catches. He is fast enough. He is listed at 4.55. Even of he is a 4.6 it doesn't matter. What you want out of a big wide out is to get out in space one on one and go up and make the catch. Great hands. Very athletic. Best blocking receiver in the state by far. System has him ready for college level routes. Level of competition is second to none. Getting a foot in the door in one of the big Cincinnati Catholic schools is a good thing. Caught 71 balls for over 1000 yards. Only offer is Indiana right now.

Stay with Deron Brown. No question the best athlete in the class. His grades are in bad shape and he needs to mature but he is a special talent in any class. He is not going to know until late whether he is going to make it or not. He is not likely to have any bigtime offers. Stick with him and either wish him well or offer him a scholarship.
